On February 7, 2018, Edward R. Gargiulo obtained a verdict for Plaintiff David Jepson and his family in the amount of $680,000 after Mr. Jepson fell on black ice at a Speedway gas station on February 13, 2013 resulting in the need for neck surgery which surgery had a poor outcome. The case was tried from February 1, 2018 through February 8, 2018 before the Honorable Robert J. Rufo and a jury. Jepson et al v. Hess Retail Operations, LLC, Barnstable Superior Court, C.A. No.: 1572 CV 00114. This verdict is believed to be one of the highest Plaintiff jury verdicts ever awarded in Barnstable County in a Plaintiff’s personal injury case. Attorney Gargiulo also has the distinction of trying another top Plaintiff’s personal injury case in Cullen v. Pray, in November, 1993 where the jury awarded Plaintiffs $8 million dollars which remains the largest Plaintiffs’ personal injury verdict awarded in Barnstable Superior Court to date.
