Heather Rowell obtained a jury verdict for the Defendant landscaping company in negligence case involving a slip and fall on ice – Hirtle v. Maffei Landscape Contractors, Inc., Plymouth Superior Court, Civil Action No. 1683CV00257, 7/19/18 (The Honorable Jeffrey Locke, presiding). In this case, defendant had contracted with a hospital to provide snow and ice removal services. Plaintiff, a nurse employed by the hospital, slipped and fell on a patch of ice in the parking lot on her way into work. The evidence showed that defendant was on site applying salt to the parking lot in and around the time of plaintiff’s fall.
