Constance L. Rudnick began her legal career in 1977 as a Law Clerk to the Justices of the Superior Court of Massachusetts where she performed research and wrote memoranda and opinions for justice of the trial court of general jurisdiction. While in private practice, she concentrated in the areas of criminal and civil litigation and appellate practice with emphasis on the preparation of cases for trial, as well as briefing and arguing appeals in federal and state courts.
From 1992 to 2016, Ms. Rudnick was a member of the full-time faculty at Massachusetts School of Law, where she taught, among other courses, Constitutional Law and Legal Ethics.
Ms. Rudnick served a four-year term as an attorney on the Board of Bar Overseers of the Supreme Judicial Court to which she was appointed in December 2001. The Board of Bar Overseers regulates the conduct of lawyers in the Commonwealth, and imposes discipline on attorneys, subject to oversight by the Supreme Judicial Court. Prior to her appointment to the Board, she served as an attorney-member of the Hearing Committee for the Board of Bar Overseers. She is was a member of the Supreme Judicial Court’s Standing Advisory Committee on the Rules of Professional Conduct, the Oversight Committee of Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers and the Boston Bar Association.
An alumna of Williams College, Ms. Rudnick serves on the WE Lead Advisory Board, which is dedicated to increasing women’s philanthropy at her alma mater.
Ms. Rudnick is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the First, Third, Fourth, Sixth, Seventh and Eleventh Circuits.
